Privacy policy
The short version: we collect very little, we do not sell anything about you, and the tools on this site run in your browser rather than on our servers.

We do not require an account. We do not run advertising. We do not sell or share your personal information. The healing tracker and the FAQ search run entirely in your browser and nothing you enter into them is sent to us or stored anywhere. If you email us, we have your email. That is roughly it.
Who we are
Tattoo Standard is published by Penguin Tattoo Co, an Australian sole trader. If you have a question about privacy or want us to delete something, emailhello@tattoostandard.com.au.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use that to reply to you. We keep the correspondence so we have a record of it, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have separately asked us to.
Our contact form is handled by Web3Forms, a third-party form service, which processes the submission and forwards it to us by email.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand which pages people read and how they found us. This tells us things like which guides are popular and which country our readers are in. It does not tell us who you are.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like essentially every web host, Cloudflare processes request data including IP addresses in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
What we do not collect
The healing tracker. Everything you enter runs in your browser. It is not sent to us, it is not stored on a server, and we never see it. Close the tab and it is gone.
The FAQ and guide search. Same. The search runs against a list already loaded in your browser. Your searches are not sent anywhere.
Accounts. There are none. You cannot sign up and we are not asking you to.
Advertising. We do not run ads and we do not have advertising trackers on this site.
Sensitive information. Do not send us health information you would not want in an inbox. We are a website, not a clinic, and our email is not a secure medical record.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers described above who need it to make the site work, and where we are required to by law.
Your choices
You can email us and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can block cookies and scripts in your browser, and the site will still work, because nothing here depends on them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. We are not going to email you about it, because we do not have your email.
